        The struggle of the 18 sans-papiers of 57, Bd de Strasbourg

        18 undocumented hairdressers and manicurists have been occupying their working place in the "Chateau d'eau" area in Paris since July 2014 to fight for their regularization.


        Their struggle started on Mai the 22nd, when they started a strike to protest against their working conditions: "We were illegally paid 200 to 400 euros while we were working 6 to 7 days a week, from 9am to 11pm, without breaks". On the 8th of July, they finally obtained work contracts but their employer declared himself bankrupt and demanded their eviction by the police.


        Since then, they are occupying the beauty salon and are fighting for their past wages and their regularization.
