An 'Organizing-Union'

February 26, 2008 - Interview with Christian Gatermann who has organized employees in the security sector in Hamburg as the responsible official of the union ver.di. An "organizing-union" had to be militant. It had to throw the belief in social partnership with the company over board. It should spend a large part of its funds on organizing and create a school for organizing, so the union officials could get appropriate training. It would not try to be an encompassing service institution for its members.
