        Barbican Occupation, March 2013

The worker-run union, The Independent Workers Union of Great Britain (IWGB), has been campaigning for respect and a living wage for cleaners at the Barbican Centre for the past 8 months. The cleaners earn poverty wages of £6.19 an hour and have been racially abused, and regularly insulted, threatened and intimidated by the aggressive management. They decide to occupy the Barbican Centre as part of their ongoing struggle. They also call out a racist!
